Started in 2006, this website gathers weird and wonderful snippets of science and relays them in context to a lay audience. It aims to excite and inspire readers on issues of science and has a strong slant to debunking dodgy claims and pseudoscience. It draws around 60,000 unique visitors each month.
Since January 2009, I’ve been writing on ScienceBlogs, “a digital science salon featuring the leading bloggers from a wide array of scientific disciplines”. ScienceBlogs is organised and maintained by the New York-based Seed Media Group.
