In September I was interviewed by the EU Observer, commenting on the launch of ScienceMatters, an industry-backed lobby group. Countering claims by environmentalists that such organisations obfuscated science, I reminded readers that green groups were often guilty of the same crime, and stressed the importance that elected representatives in EU parliament were scientifically literate and supported by capable researchers.
